The term "Coach" is wide - starting from whether its a person or an object.... to the methods used to be effective. What strikes you?
There are commonalities:
Coaches get you to where you want to be.
Coaches are there with you on the journey.
Coaches accelerate the wins. Most players at the top of their game have one.
The confusion comes from the methods deployed.
For example:
A coach/carriage/bus (object) literally carries you to your destination so you don't have to go by foot.
To win matches, a football coach can be screaming instructions from the sidelines during the game.
Whilst, a badminton coach is don't do that. The coach will observe, strategize and provide feedback only during certain breaks in a match.
An executive coach focuses on developing from within, creatively provoking your thinking process to maximise your potential.
Very different, isn't it?
